Dear Readers and Supporters: Last March I told you about an anonymous long time friend and supporter of this ministry who fell on hard times, and a generous portion of you volunteered to help her financially to prevent her eviction and car repossession. Unfortunately, once again she and her child are in a similar difficult position, though a little bit worse. I hate to see this happen to her and not try to help in any way. So if once again you can help out with a financial contribution, it would be greatly appreciated. You can contribute to her through the link below. My hope is that we can raise around $3000. Thank you.

The Healing of Elder Ambrose Lazaris by the Holy Unmercenaries Kosmas and Damianos

Once, when Elder Ambrose Lazaris was at Mount Athos, without receiving a blessing, he had climbed a fig tree outside Koutloumousiou Monastery to cut figs, but he broke the branch and fell badly, bruising his leg.

The night that followed, shortly after midnight, and while he was in terrible pain, the Holy Unmercenaries Kosmas and Damianos appeared from the chapel that commemorates them nearby and immediately fixed his leg as it was before.

So the Elder stood up joyfully and danced and sang, disturbing everyone. And he would say afterwards when he narrated this miracle:

"The monks did not sleep all night and in the morning they held a liturgy. I went to the liturgy too. They held a liturgy for three days. This miracle is written in the Records of the Monastery - on such and such a date when it happened."
